APPLICATION DEADLINES
The FE application and the verification form must be submitted to the SD Board office
no later than midnight on:
January 1st for the
April exam
July
1st for the October exam
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Handwritten applications will not be accepted..
2. Complete
the application and verification form. The links are at the bottom of this page. NOTE: The text boxes will
expand as you type.
3. Submit
the application and verification form to your department secretary or to the
Engineering Dean's office, O'Harra Building 208.

APPLICATION FEES
There will be no charge for the application to the South
Dakota Board office. However, there will be a $155 exam fee when you register with ELSES.
APPROVAL OF APPLICATION
DO NOT register with ELSES until you receive an approval
letter from the South Dakota Board of Technical Professions.
After evaluation of the FE exam application and academic
verification you will be advised in writing if you have been approved or not
approved for the examination. You will be notified by mail within 3 weeks
after the application deadline.
The approval
letter from the Board office will contain information necessary for you to
register for the examination with Engineering and Land Surveying Examination
Services (ELSES)
