The Career Service Council is pleased to announce that Neal Hodges has been named Traditions of Excellence Award recipient for April 2007.

Neal is a Systems Software Specialist in ITS. He was selected for this award based on the statements (below) made by his nominators.

Reasons for Nomination:

I nominate Neal Hodges II for the TEA award because he is simply the BEST! Any time I ever have a computer problem/crisis, he is there fixing it in an instant! He has a fantastic attitude and is always in a good mood. I e-mailed Neal one day regarding another crisis, not realizing that he had the day off, before I knew it he was calling me from home and fixing my computer problem. Neal is dedicated, trustworthy, hard-working and a very valuable asset to SDSM&T. Thank you Neal for ALL you do for me and for the SDSM&T campus!

I would like to nominate Neal Hodges for the TEA Award. There are so many things that I could elaborate on, that makes him an outstanding employee and a great asset to SDSM&T, that it can't just be given in one email. But I can give an example of service that goes above and beyond the call of his duties. One example is, I needed to complete a report of certain items that had been ordered since the new system was put into place. As many people know there are hundreds of Purchase Orders that have been processed since the beginning of the new system. In order to establish a report normally I would have to go through each report documenting the items to create a spreadsheet. Neal going above and beyond the normal computer fixing attributes came to my rescue by creating a report for me that held only the account and commodity codes of the items that my report was drafted off of. Within two hours I had a list of 100 lines rather hundreds. There are not enough positive words that can be expressed when someone steps up with that caliber and relieves that kind of stress for you within two hours.

Neal you are great and deserve the appreciation and support of the colleges that you work with everyday. Thank you for everything.
