March, 2001 - Monica (Beardt) Darrow
The Career Service Council is pleased to announce that the March Traditions of Excellence awardee is Monica Beardt. Monica is a Secretary in the Business & Administration Office. We also know her as operator of the switchboard. She has been employed at Tech for 14 months.
Monica’s nominator(s) praised her helpfulness and friendly assistance with the requisition process. She has a very stressful job at times but handles multi-tasks well, stated her nominator(s). Monica's nominator(s) also stated that Monica is like a ray of sunshine, always happy, and a pleasure to work.
When asked what she liked about her job, Monica stated that she likes keeping busy and enjoys helping people. She said she enjoys getting to know the people on campus better and appreciates the opportunity to help them. We also appreciate her dedication.
