The Career Service Council is pleased to announce that the February Traditions of Excellence awardee is Neal Hodges, II. Neal is a Senior Systems Programmer in Informational Technology Services. Neal works with the software side of the computing network and with the systems administration of computing and networking. Neal joined Tech in December 1977. He said he enjoys the variety of his position and helping others. He joked that he gets along well with the machines and is just part of the team that works mostly behind the scene.
His nominator(s) praised him for taking his time to help when he has so many other priority items to finish. Neal takes time to follow-up and makes sure everything is working. Neal's willingness to go out of his way to provide computer support to the nominator(s) and the SDSM&T campus is to be commended. Neal is always more than willing to go the extra mile to see that the computer systems that the school maintains are running properly.
