The Career Service Council is pleased to announce that the August Traditions of Excellence Awardee is Rita Sabe. Rita is secretary for the Industrial Engineering Department and CAMP office. She has held her position since 1994. Rita manages her time between Industrial Engineering and CAMP, and is active in all aspects of the department including office management and operation, student activities, and student organizations. Rita's nominator(s) praised her ability to be helpful and pleasant to students and faculty, to handle deadlines, and responsibilities in an exceptional manner. She is a very conscientious and a competent individual willing to take on any tasks assigned to her and is very accommodating to significantly different work requirements, and she goes beyond the "call of duty in many ways," comments another of her nominator(s).
CAMP was the recipient of the Boeing Award which is a very prestigious award for the school and Rita was an active participant in contributing her time and skills to help complete the proposal efficiently and with success.
Rita has also established a database to help track the Technology Management program students for mailing purposes and to help determine their program status. This is a very important tool for the department.
