Patricia Casey has been named Traditions of Excellence Award recipients for December 2007.
Pat works the front desk of the Surbeck Center and was selected for this award based on statements included in her nomination package, “As one of the most visible employees on campus, Pat Casey is definitely the right person for the Surbeck main desk. She always greets students, visitors to campus and fellow employees with a smile and hello like she has nothing else to do. However, that is not the case. Pat is responsible for scheduling meetings, making sure the academic courses are scheduled correctly, answering the phone, signing out literally hundreds of packages for dorm students and much, much more - not to mention maintaining more than two dozen of the campus’ best cared for plants! Pat’s commitment to excellence shows in her willingness to go above and beyond in every part of her job. Pat is definitely the perfect person to have as the “face” of SDSM&T”. There is no doubt that Patricia Casey is an asset to the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. We also agree.
Patricia Casey has been employed at School of Mines since October 2005.
