Compliance with Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989
The South Dakota School of Mines & Technology strictly prohibits the unlawful possession, use or distribution of alcohol, marijuana or controlled substances by its students or employees while on property controlled by the College or while participating in any capacity in activities or employment sponsored by it. SDSM&T adopts the following institutional procedures in addition to the applicable Board of Regents policy manual provisions in order to comply with the Act. These policies and procedures will be distributed annually to all students and employees of the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology.
