July, 2001 -- Pat Kung
The Career Service Council is please to announce that the July Traditions of Excellence Awardee is Pat Kung. Pat is a Programmer/Analyst in Information Technology Services. Pat started at Tech in May 1992 as an emergency hire in the Computer Center. In August 1992, she accepted a Secretary position in the Math/Computer Science Department. In July 1998, Pat accepted the Computer Support Supervisor position in then called Instructional Technology Services. In February 2000, her position was reclassified to a Programmer/Analyst.
Her nominator said “she is the behind the scenes person. She's not always in the forefront, but she is still there. She is always super responsive to customer needs when they are having problems with Datatel. She is also the Microsoft Access guru. She goes out of the way to try and solve the customer’s problem with Access. She does not quit till the problem is resolved. She is a great asset to the ITS department”.
