Deciding Your Major?
If you are still deciding your major or thinking
of switching majors, you are not alone. Although some students are definite
about their major when they start college, many others haven’t yet decided or
may switch majors after a semester or two. The
Kuder
program offers computer-based career exploration resources that can be helpful to students in identifying their areas of interest and related career paths. SDSM&T students can access the program online through the following steps:
1. Go to
Kuder.
2. Select "New Users" and create a username and password.
3. Take the assessment by using a Batch Code obtained from the SDSM&T Career Center to access the specific assessments.
Individuals who take any of the Kuder assessments receive immediate results and links to related occupations and majors. After completing the assessments, students are encouraged to visit with Darrell Sawyer, Career Center Director, at 394-2667 to discuss areas of interest, possible career paths, majors, and various options.
