Read Power point slides 27-42 or pages 132-154 of the text. Run and investigate Models 4-2 and 4-3. Answer the questions and description requests below and submit your answers. Reading all the questions first may make doing the assignment easier. For example, doing question 1 & 2 at the same time might make the assignment easier.
There will be a not be a new assignment until Monday, 3/2/09, because of the IIE student Conference.
1) Describe at least three important differences between Model 4-1 and Model 4-2. (Looking ahead to the next question might make the assignment go easier.)
2) Also, describe which features of the Arena are used to make the appropriate changes.
3) Which of these features did you find the most complicated? Why?
4) Which of these features do you most look forward to using in other problems?
5) Should Dr. Matejcik lecture to the class or demonstrate any of the features? If any requested, which features?
6) Model 4-3 is all about animation. Which animation feature to you most look forward to using?
You may work in groups and submit your assignment as groups. You may work as individuals, also. You can e-mail me the answers in the text of an e-mail message, attach a MS Word file to an e-mail, attach a text file to an e-mail, hand in typed version, or hand in a handwritten version.
The document that you submit should look something like the assignment where we played around with Model 4-1 (remember Karen Quetie and Steve Studley).
